About P2P.me​

Does P2P.me have an app?​

There's no official native app. But you can install it as a PWA (Progressive Web App):

  • On mobile: Access the site → Menu → "Add to home screen"
  • On PC: Chrome → Menu → "Install app"

Does P2P.me report my transactions?​

P2P.me values privacy. Check the Terms of Service for compliance details.

How to pay a PIX QR Code with P2P.me?​

  1. Scan the QR Code
  2. The amount is automatically converted
  3. Confirm the transaction
  4. Payment is sent

About Verification​

I tried to verify social networks and got an error​

If you see "Not meet P2P's eligibility requirements":

  • Your account didn't meet the criteria (age, connections, activity)
  • Use ZK Passport verification as an alternative

Is my data private?​

Yes! We use zero-knowledge proofs (ZK proofs):

  • We verify eligibility without seeing your data
  • We don't store personal information
  • We don't have access to your social content

How does passport verification work?​

  1. First step: Scan the page with photo
  2. Second step: Scan the NFC chip on the back cover

About Limits​

What are my limits?​

Without ZK verification:

  • Buy: $0 per trade
  • Sell: $100 per trade, 10/day

With ZK verification:

  • Maximum limit: $600 per order
  • Buy: 5/day, 25/month
  • Sell: 10/day, 300/month

Do cancelled orders count toward limits?​

No. Cancelled orders don't affect your limit.

What are Reputation Points (RP)?​

RP determines your transaction capacity:

  • BRL, ARS, IDR: 1 RP = $2 USDC
  • INR: 1 RP = $1 USDC

About Wallets​

Why is my wallet empty when I import my private key?​

P2P.me uses Account Abstraction technology with smart wallets.

When you use P2P.me, you actually have two wallets:

  1. EOA (Externally Owned Account) — The "mother wallet" that signs transactions
  2. Smart Wallet — The wallet you see in P2P.me with your balance

Your private key controls the EOA, which is always empty because it only signs transactions. Your funds are in the Smart Wallet, which is controlled by the EOA.

About Security​

Is my money safe?​

Yes. Merchants stake tokens as collateral. Each Circle will have an insurance pool (coming soon). If something goes wrong, you're reimbursed.

What if the seller disappears with my money?​

  1. Open a dispute in the app
  2. The Circle Admin analyzes
  3. You're reimbursed from the insurance pool
  4. The seller is penalized

What if the Circle Admin is dishonest?​

  • Decisions are recorded on the blockchain
  • You can contest any decision
  • The P2P.me team can intervene
  • Dishonest admins lose their deposit

About Disputes​

How to open a dispute?​

  1. Go to the problematic transaction
  2. Click "Report problem"
  3. Describe what happened
  4. Attach evidence (screenshots, receipts)

How long does it take?​

  • Admin has up to 7 days to decide
  • Urgent cases: usually 24-48h
  • You can contest the decision

Login and Access​

Is there Passkey login?​

Yes! P2P.me supports Passkey login.

⚠️ Important: Coins.me does NOT have Passkey. You need to add another login method through your P2P.me wallet settings.

I lost access to my account. Can I recover it?​

No. P2P.me uses a self-custody wallet. This means:

  • Only YOU control your private keys
  • P2P.me cannot recover your account
  • There is no "forgot password" option

To protect yourself:

  1. Add multiple login methods in your wallet settings (email, phone, social login)
  2. Export and backup your private key in a safe place
  3. Never share your private key with anyone

If you lose all access methods, your funds are permanently inaccessible.
